The last time we did a post was in 2009, when the whole family traveled to Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos, for seven weeks.  That was http://thegrizwalds-partii.blogspot.com.au/ .

For a short time that sated our desire to travel.

Only a short time though.
In 2012 Nathalie and Andrew did six weeks backpacking bike riding, busing  training, boating, walking, and eating around Malaysia, with a few days in Brunei on the way through.

This was reported upon in the form of the So Far So Good chronicles (SFSG).  This was in the form of emails to youse all. Unfortunately the mastery of the remote Gmail account using a tiny teeny ween polka dot IPhone wasn’t the best method to ensure global coverage, the hit rate of email addresses was somewhat ad-hoc.  There were many disappointed people especially those who got the emails.

In early 2013 Nathalie and Andrew backpacked did just over three weeks in Central, and north west Thailand.  That too was emailed reports in the form of  the Nathalie Andrew Holidays (NAH) chronicles      Never will we make the grade as travel reports, but as far as reporting on what we see and do, we put a varied slant on it.

The next trip (the subject of this blog) was originally to be Myanmar, but as organised as we weren’t we didn’t make the 25 business days required to get Visas so the next obvious choice was Sri Lanka.

We will be in Sri Lanka from the 14th of July (Bastille Day) through to the 4th of August (Burkina Faso National Day).

Now that we have a mini IPad our posts should be less susceptible to bus wobble and   “My fingers are just too fat for this IPhone keyboard”  but don’t count on it.

The dogs are going into care (with Customs) and the boys into hibernation (well deeper hibernation than usual) and we are off with our 15 kg backpacks.

Lots of Love

Nat and Andy

Cheers
